Pathway to the Pies

Want to take your game to the next level? Fancy yourself as a future SSN netballer? Then this is the program for you!

We take our world class facilities, industry experts, elite athletes and coaches and give you exclusive access to it all!

With minimal group numbers, we are able to provide aspiring athletes with the a tailored and intimate development program which will give you a taste of what it takes to get the best out of yourself on and off court.

How does it work?

The program consists of seven unique 2 hour sessions, outlined below:
1. Introduction, tour of Glasshouse & SSN Game Day
2. Nutrition & hydration Session – Fitness testing & Fast 5 
3. Wellness Session
4. Goal Setting & hearing from an athlete about their netball journey
5. Leadership & Communication Skills
6. Strength, conditioning & recovery
7. Video Analysis on Australian Diamonds Game

Each session is run by a Collingwood Magpies athlete and the relevant resident experts here at the Holden Centre!

*All sessions will consist of court work as well as the outlined topic.

Do I have to be at a certain level to get involved?

No. At the Holden Centre, we want to be able to cater to all abilities, as well as providing opportunities for high level athletes, so we have broken it into two streams:

Elite: Ideal for athletes who are currently playing at league or association representative level or above.

Amateur: For athletes who aren’t yet playing at representative level but are keen to take their game to the next level.

How old do I have to be?

The Pathways to the Pies program targets athletes aged between 12-15 years of age.

How many spots are available?

There are only 15 spots available in each stream. This is to ensure that each participant has a memorable and unique experience and allows our coaches to get to know you.

How much does it cost?

The total cost for the program is $500, working out to be just over $70 per session. All expenses are included in this cost so that’s it, once you’re in, there are no additional costs.

When are the sessions held?

The sessions are held across eight months to allow for a program which helps to develop long term benefits and provide realistic opportunities for setting difficult but achievable personal goals. The dates of each session are**:

**Dates are subject to change due to having a varied schedule here at the Holden Centre, however, we will do our best to provide participants with sufficient notice to give them the best chance of making this work.
