Pathway to the Pies
Want to take your game to the next level? Fancy yourself as a future SSN netballer? Then this is the program for you!
We take our world class facilities, industry experts, and elite athletes and coaches and give you exclusive access to it all!
With minimal group numbers, we are able to provide aspiring athletes with the most tailored and intimate development program in order to give you a taste of what it takes to get the best out of yourself on the court.
How does it work?
The program consists of seven unique 1.5 hour sessions*, outlined below:
1. Introduction, fitness testing and Fast 5
2. Goal setting and fitness programming
3. Strength & conditioning and recovery
4. Nutrition & hydration
5. Leadership & wellbeing
6. Final fitness testing and goal evaluations
7. SSN and ANL matches and analysis
Each session is taken by a Collingwood Magpies athlete and the relevant resident experts here at the Holden Centre!
*All sessions will consist of court work as well as the outlined topic.
Do I have to be at a certain level to get involved?
No. At the Holden Centre, we want to be able to cater to all abilities, as well as providing opportunities for high level athletes, so we have broken it into two streams:
Elite: Ideal for athletes who are currently playing at league or association representative level or above.
Amateur: For athletes who aren’t yet playing at representative level but are keen to take their game to the next level.
How old do I have to be?
The Pathways to the Pies program targets athletes aged between 12-15 years of age.
How many spots are available?
There are only 15 spots available in each stream. This is to ensure that each participant has a memorable and unique experience and allows our coaches to get to know you.
How much does it cost?
The total cost for the program is $500, working out to be just over $70 per session. All expenses are included in this cost so that’s it, once you’re in there are no additional costs.
When are the sessions held?
The sessions are held across 8 months to allow for a program which helps to develop long term benefits and provide realistic opportunities for setting difficult but achievable personal goals. The dates of each session are**:
1 – October 25th 2017
2 – November 17th 2017
3 – December 17th 2017
