THWAITES TO CELEBRATE 200th GAME

We’ll be celebrating a special milestone in round 14, with Collingwood shooting star and Australian Diamond Caitlin Thwaites set to record her 200th national league game.

A veteran of Australian and international netball, Thwaites’ 16-year career will be recognised throughout the week.

The 31-year-old will become only the seventh player in Australian netball history to hit the 200-game milestone.

Thwaites will join an exclusive club of Australian netball legends, including the likes of Catherine Cox, Bianca Chatfield, Sharelle McMahon, Susan Pettitt, Bec Bulley and Nat Medhurst.

Join us in congratulating Caitlin on her amazing achievement, by using the #Caity200 hashtag on social media.

BID FAREWELL TO THREE RETIRING MAGPIES

Earlier this week, veterans Shae Brown and Erin Bell joined Sharni Layton in announcing their retirements from professional netball at the end of the 2018 SSN season.

As one of Collingwood's first foundation players, Brown has become a much-loved and respected teammate and player in her time at the club. Veteran goaler Erin Bell will finish her 15-year career in the Black and White stripes, after amassing over 140 games with the Swifts and Thunderbirds before joining the Magpies at the end of 2017.

Join us in congratulating Brown, Bell and Layton on all that they've achieved during their distinguished careers.

There’ll be one final chance to see this trio in action, so get to the game in Brisbane or tune into Channel 9 from 3pm on Saturday to see them in action.
