Confident and consistent mid-courter Shae Brown (née Bolton) returned home to Victoria after seven years in WA to join the Collingwood Magpies for the 2017 season.
After starting her career with the Melbourne Kestrels in 2006, Brown flew across the Nullarbor to join West Coast Fever in the inaugural ANZ Championship season.
A hugely popular team member, Brown played over 100 games for the Fever.
In her first season with the Magpies, Brown displayed her renowned versatility, stepping into the goal attack role after teammate Cody Lange went down injured with a ruptured ACL.
After a handful of games in the position, she lined up next to Caitlin Thwaites in the circle for the Magpies' semi-final clash against the Giants.
Ahead of 2018, Brown was chosen to join a new-look Magpies leadership group, aiding Madi Robinson as one of three vice-captains.
Off the court, Brown co-owns fashion label ONCE Upon a Run with husband and former West Coast Eagles defender, Mitch Brown.
