The former Tactix (New Zealand) has made the move to Australia to replace injured Madi Robinson for the remainder of the 2019 SSN season.
The 21-year-old, who plays both midcourt attacking positions, capped a sensational 2018 debut season at senior level with the Tactix.
Poi was named in the Silver Ferns development squad and was a member of the NZ world title-winning Fast5 Ferns before making the step up to full Silver Ferns honours. The New Zealander earned her first Test cap for the Silver Ferns against England in January.
A year prior, Poi was recognised with inclusion in the New Zealand U21 team which won the Netball World Youth Cup.
Known for her speed and tenacity, her playing style aligns well with the current midcourt group.
She looks forward to taking the court in the black and white and adapting to the physicality of Australia’s netball game as Magpie #21.
